A water line broke beneath a 12-inch thick concrete pavement running for several hours flooding the ramp and developing voids under the pavement.
Project Highlights :
- Treated the area with a fluid cement grout injected under pressure (50 psi).
- Grout holes were spaced on about 12-foot centers (essentially at the center of pavement panels).
- In some areas, grouting was attempted in panels immediately adjacent to the treatment area or attempts were made to regrout selected panels inside the treatment area to confirm the success of the program.
Our solution
saved the client $1,140,000 over another firm's recommendation to remove and replace all pavement.
