Group Delta personnel were responsible for design-level geotechnical investigations and construction-phase services during major redevelopment and expansion of John Wayne Airport which spanned from 1988 to 1994.  

Project Highlights:

• Provided geotechnical engineering for the pavement strengthening project that  involved strengthening of the northern half of the runway 19R/1L to accommodate 300,000 lb aircraft wheel loading criteria (49,000 sq ft of pavement)
  
• Strengthening of about 100,000 sq. ft. of pavements for various taxiways.
