Los Angeles to Pasadena Gold Line


The project was a 13.7-mile extension of the Gold Line beginning at Union Station in Los Angeles and ending in Pasadena. This light rail transit consists of a double tracked system using electric current overhead wire and included 13 stations and a new pedestrian bridge structure.  

Project Highlights :

  • First Design-Build commuter rail line in Los Angeles County
  • Two underground boxes - Colorado Box and Figueroa Box
  • Underpinning of existing brick buildings in the historic section of Pasadena
  • MSE, Keystone, and CIP retaining walls, soil nail walls

Construction Cost : $300 million
