This project was located within the Malibu Canyon area and consisted of drilling and sampling impounded sediment behind Rindge Dam. 

Project Highlights :

• There were various challenges involved with this project site, including, no road down into the canyon bottom; the lone access ramp from Malibu Canyon Road was in considerable disrepair.
• A helicopter drop of two drill rigs and supporting equipment into the canyon bottom had to be arranged and a foot path from Malibu Canyon Road had to be made to facilitate personnel. 
•  GDC coordinated traffic control with the highway patrol and County of Los Angeles.
